Homebuying Made Simple

Buying a home is oftentimes one of the largest purchases a person will make in their lifetime! We know that can seem like an overwhelming task, but it doesn’t have to be. Our multi-step “Buying Process” takes the stress off of you and let’s us use our expertise to get you into your perfect property.

Getting Started

Let's Meet!

Real Estate is personal, and we want to get to know you! During our meeting we'll review your list of “must haves” and determine what you’re looking for in your next home. Budget? Preferred location? A yard for a dog? We’ll cover these questions and more. Schedule a Meeting.

Get Pre-Qualified

If you’re planning to finance your home and don’t already have a pre-qualification, no problem. We can connect you with our friends (and Homestead Plaza neighbors!) at Preferred Funding who can walk you through this process. A pre-qualification is important to have, especially in a competitive market, to show sellers that you are serious about your offer.

Receive New Listing Alerts

As a professional real estate office we have access to Bright MLS (multiple listing service). This allows us to see the current status of homes listed for sale throughout the state. We’ll set up personalized alerts that let you know when there are new listings that fit your criteria, or a price change to a favored home. We’ll also reach out to our local networks to find any pocket listings or off-market homes that we think might fit the bill.

Schedule Showings and Attend Open Houses

When you find a home(s) that you think you may like, we’ll coordinate private showings or accompany you to an open house. As your REALTOR® we act as an extra set of eyes and ears when viewing properties and can give you advice on things that may be good news—or bad—about the homes we see. As a buyer you shouldn’t be expected to know everything about the real estate industry: that’s where we come in!

Submit an Offer

Once you find a home that you like and are ready to make an offer, we help with that too. We can make recommendations on price and contingencies that will push your offer to the top of the pile. And if the seller does come back with a counter offer, we’ll help you navigate that process to reach the best possible outcome. It’s a great deal—we advocate for you at no cost to you, as we are ultimately compensated by the sellers when a house closes.

Making it Yours

Prepare to Close

Congratulations, your offer was accepted! Now it’s time to get your financing in order and complete inspections and/or appraisals to make sure that your potential new home doesn’t come with any unwanted surprises. We have a list of industry partners that examine your home to ensure there are no major issues before closing.

Closing Day

You made it to closing day! Bring a pen (or better yet, we’ll have one for you) and sign for your new home. Once the paperwork is complete and the funds transferred, the keys are yours.
